GDAB Great Danes & Ibizan Hounds

January 2015 - In Great Danes, Simon,  ELLENI'S SIMON TEMPLAR V ROSEMOORE, goes WD for his first points, a 4 point major, at the Nolan River Kennel Club show.  Luka, Pegasus TTS Let the Good Times Roll, was RWD for his 4th major reserve. Judge Mary Anne Brocious.  

In Ibizans, Bettie, Ch. HareHill's Look of Love was BEST OF BREED under judge Bonnie P Threlfall.  

January 2015 - In Great Danes, Seven is WB/BOW for 2 points under Robert Stein and at Simon is RWD both days (Stein and David Bolus) at the Fort Bend Kennel Club shows in Rosenberg TX.  Simon is owned by Kim Moore and Seven, Renaissance's Simply Sinful v Redwood, is owned by Amanda Nocero.  Seven only needs 3 singles to finish!

February 2015 - I'm on a break from shows taking care of a litter of puppies! 

March 2015 - Seven the Great Dane is now CHAMPION Renaissance's Simply Sinful v Redwood, AOM!!!!!  She finished at the Fort Worth Kennel Club show on Sunday, March 22 with a 4 point major and stiff competition.  Our judge was Dr. Dana Ann Smith Massey.  Seven came to me in June of 2014 after having only been shown one weekend, as a 6 month old puppy.  I showed her a total of 10 weekends over a period of 9 months.  She finished with three 4 point majors, a 2 point win, two singles, and a Specialty Award of Merit from the classes.  Seven is owned by Amanda Nocero and was bred by Cathy Morris.  I'm so happy for them both!

March 2015 - Simon the Great Dane (owned by Kim Moore) was Reserve Winners in Claremore, OK, under Dana P. Cline.  Mabel the Ibizan Hound was Reserve Winners to the major twice, under Marjorie Martorella and Randy E. Garren.

April 2015 - I had a GREAT long weekend in Louisiana! 

Simon the Great Dane (owned by Kim Moore) was Winners dog in Bossier City, Louisiana, under judge William Rodriguez, for his second 4 point major, at only 12 months of age.  He was also RWD under judge Gloria Kerr.

Luka the Great Dane (owned by Jenny Holdren) was Winners dog also in Bossier City, under judge Warner Cespedes, for his first major (4 points).  He now only needs another major and a single to finish!!!  

Ch Veronica the Great Dane (owned by Tudor Wessels) was Select bitch in Bossier City, under judge Gloria Kerr, for the first points towards her Grand title - a 4 point major!

May 2015 -

Marshall - Simon the Great Dane (owned by Kim Moore and Brittany Cipriotti) was Best of Winners for 2 points under Jon Cole and Reserve Winners under KeKe Kahn. 

Emma the Great Dane, for her first weekend to be shown by me, was Best of Winners and Best of Opposite over a special for 2 points under KeKe Kahn.  She is MONTAGUE LARCHWOOD LOVE ME TENDER, bred and owned by Nancy Ridgway.

June 2015 -

July 2015 -

Dallas - Emma the Dane becomes a new champion on Friday by winning BOW for a 4 point major (judge Debra Thornton)! Then on Saturday, she picks up a 4 point major Select over a lot of nice breed competition (judge Francine Schwartz). 

Wifi wins the breed all three days, for another three points for his Grand.  He now only needs 2 singles!  He also made the cut in the group on Sunday, with judge Laurie Telfair, which was EXCITING!

Field Spaniel Duncan did great in the group all three days and we had a fun time together.

Longview - Disco, Groovy, Willys

Kenner - Luka, Willys, Johnny Cash, Khaleesi, Emma, Wifi, Bettie

Wifi is a new Grand Champion, Bettie gets a Best of Breed win for another point, Willys has a big show weekend for lots of show dog training.  Khaleesi wins a major reserve, Emma makes the cut in the breed.

Ibizan Hound Club of the United States - Mabel was reserve winners at the national!  Wifi unfortunately had a sore foot and limped when we went into the ring the day of the national.  I moved him a few times to see if he would work it out, but he didn't, so I asked to be excused.  But he was able to show the next day at the supported entry and he did beautifully and made the cut in the breed.  He wasn't entered the last day, but that's ok because that's when Mabel was Winners to finish!

At the Three Rivers Kennel club show during the IHCUS weekend, Great Danes Groovy and Willys got in some ring time.  They both had LOTS of puppy fun.  :)  On the second day of the Three Rivers show, my two puppies weren't entered but I helped another handler by taking a puppy dog into breed and going Best of Winners for his first point!

October 2015 -

Fayettville, AR - Afghans: Bombay, WD/BOW for a major;  Mila, RWB (to a major)

Great Danes: Groovy, RWB;  Willys, WD/BOW/BBE Group 2 and his first point!

Canton, TX - Great Danes: Luka, RWD; Willys; Johnny Cash, RWD; Groovy; Emma BOS & SB

Great Dane Club of America Futurity - Willys made the first cut in his division, I also showed Johnny Cash, Dita, and Groovy.  Merci made all the cuts and missed a placement in the 9 to 12 by one (she was 5th).  I helped out another handler by taking in handsome Odin for the 12 to 15 after he made the cut.     

Great Dane Club of America - Luka won open fawn; Knox won open black, Willys won Bred By Exhibitor, Johnny Cash won 9 to 12 black and was in the final cut for winners, Dita 3rd place 9 to 12 black, Bella showed in 12 to 15, Groovy showed in Bred by, Khaleesi 3rd place open blue, Jack showed in Brood bitch, Emma AWARD OF MERIT!

November 2015 - Great Dane Club of Central North Carolina - Luka won open fawn and was in the final cut for winners, Willys was 4th in Bred by, Khaleesi won open blue and was in the final cut for winners, and Bijou was 3rd in veterans.  I also showed Johnny Cash (9 to 12), Groovy (Bred by), Dita (9 to 12), and Stella (12 to 15).

December 2015 - Dallas, TX

My big winner in Danes was Emma, Ch. Montague Larchwood Love Me Tender, AOM, who picked up two 3 point majors by winning Best of Opposite 2 days and 2 singles by winning Select one day.  Only 9 singles to go until she's a Grand Champion!
